MINERALS: Below are some of the thousands of mineral specimens we have in our shop or storerooms. Obviously we can't picture them all on the internet, nor would you have time to view them all. Everything we have is available for internet sale, so feel free to send inquiries.

You will undoubtedly discover that our prices are lower than most web sellers for specimens of equivalent quality and size. We work very hard to find the right places to buy things. We are also pretty lazy about adjusting for inflation. There are some real bargains here!

All items, being unique, are subject to prior sale. An email or phone call will reserve it for you for a reasonable time.

REFUNDS: Any item may be returned in original condition for a full refund, less actual shipping charges and credit card fees, within ten days.

SHIPPING: Shipping charges (priority mail) are $6.50, regardless of quantity of items purchased. Buy more, and save on shipping! Note that we only ship within the United States.

SALES TAX: If we are shipping to a New York State address, you must add 8.25 percent to the total of all items PLUS shipping charges. Sales tax exemption forms accepted from dealers.

PAYMENT: We accept money orders, checks, and Visa or Mastercard. Checks may be held for clearance. When ordering, please specify the mineral name and number!

Both these pieces are from the same location and are the same price. One is one large crystal, the other has several smaller crystals on matrix. Both have some associated chlorite. The large piece is sold.

Lousy picture, lovely specimen. Deep sea-green transparent cubic crystals of fluorite cover most of a light-tan matrix. The specimen is about 2" x 1-1/2". It also fluoresces a brilliant deep blue under U/V light. I've seen these on the web for $300! Five left.

MARGARITE, Old Mine, Chester, Massachusetts
(Order number 30)

A rare pink mica on a green "corundophylite" matrix composed of margarite intermixed with green corundum. This is a very difficult material to obtain today, as the Chester mines closed decades ago. The Old Mine is now home to a colony of rare bats, and off limits to visitors.

PROUSTITE, Cero-de-Pasco, Peru
(Order number 51)

One of the extremely rare! A proustite crystal of about 1 inch, still red since it has been protected from light (this photo is of another specimen, but is about the same). Sometimes called "ruby silver,' proustite is silver arsenic sulfide. Fine crystals are very scarce. I've seen pieces like this on the net priced from $3,000 to $8,000. Check OUR price! By the way, we have some fine pyrargyrite specimens, too.

ROSE QUARTZ CRYSTALS, Pittoro Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil
(Order number 27)

Genuine natural rose quartz crystals are one of nature's great rarities. They were found only at two mines in the world, now both closed. We managed to acquire several Pittoro specimens just before the closing of the mine a few years ago. Most are smaller than this 2-1/4 inch piece, and are priced at $3.97 per gram. Let us know your price range, and we may be able to select a nice one for you.

SELENITE and HALITE, Salinas, Pisco, Peru
(Order number 37)

A very attractive specimen of this uncommon association of two common minerals. The deep-orange selenite crystals are over an inch long and totally transparent. In the picture most of them are pointed straight at you, and are thus more difficult to see. The halite crystals are almost transparent, mostly cubic in form, and exhibit some hopper faces.
