According to casualties.org there have been 88 hostile fire 
deaths caused by firearms since the beginning of hostilities in 
Iraq. The remainder of coalition deaths have been due to 
explosives or accidents. What does this mean?

If you consider that there have been an average of 160,000 
troops in theater during the last 22 months, that gives a 
firearm death rate of 55 per 100,000. The firearm death rate in 
Washington DC is 80.6 per 100,000.

This means that you are more likely to be shot and killed in our 
Nation's Capitol than you are in Iraq! The conclusion? Under the 
logic of the heathen left, we should immediately pull out of
Washington DC!

Compromise - according to my trusty dictionary, the word means "a
settlement of differences by mutual concessions". When it comes to the
2nd Amendment and self-defense - what's the "compromise" ? My life for a
10-round magazine limit? Some compromise - I think a more appropriate
term would be "unconditional surrender"! No one - not government, not
anybody! - has the moral right to tell me I can't use the very best
tools I can obtain to protect my life, and the lives of my loved ones.
And to those who would ask me to "compromise" when it comes to my
welfare and safety, or that of my family, my answer is the same simple
one as that given by Gen. Anthony McCauliffe to the Germans at the
Battle of the Bulge - "Nuts!!"

Hmmmmmm. Let's see. Live-fire military exercises in civilian
population centers ... the arming of more federal law enforcement
agents ... the creation of a new commander-in-chief for domestic
preparedness ... and, of course, the continuing effort to disarm
law-abiding civilians throughout the United States through a concerted
legal attack on gun manufacturers, a media assault on the Second
Amendment and political targeting of pro-gun laws in all 50 state
legislatures.
                                      
What's wrong with this picture? Why should the government have all the
guns? Does anyone remember why the Second Amendment was crafted by our
founders? Do you think it was intended to protect hunters or to
provide defense against criminals?
                                      
No way, the founders blessed us with the Second Amendment because they
understood the biggest threat to the freedom of the American people
would come from government. And the best way to hold a government in
check -- in fact, the only way -- is through a vigilant and well-armed
citizenry.
